Venice in a day from Asolo
Staying in Asolo means you can give a day to Venice and come back in the evening to something entirely different, between the village and the surrounding hills.
Villa Cipriani should not present itself as a “hotel near Venice”, but as an alternative base for travellers who include the lagoon in a wider journey through the Veneto.
Planning the day
Asolo has no railway station. Reaching Venice therefore means combining a road transfer with the train, or driving.
A day in Venice works better with one clear itinerary: Piazza San Marco and the monumental area, the Gallerie dell’Accademia, a quieter sestiere or the islands. Trying to include everything reduces the value of the visit.

Coming back to Asolo
On the return, the American Bar is open until 22.30 and the Villa Cipriani Restaurant is open every day of the year. The contrast between a day in the lagoon and an evening in the quiet of the Villa is what really distinguishes this idea.
