American Bar
The furnishings of the American Bar are the ones Giuseppe Cipriani chose in the 1960s. Not a reconstruction, but a room of the Villa still used in the spirit in which it was conceived.
The bar accompanies the whole day, from morning coffee to the aperitif and the last cocktail of the evening, and it stays open in the hours when the restaurant is not serving.
Bellini and classic cocktails
The Bellini is made with freshly blended white peach and Prosecco. Alongside the most celebrated cocktail of the Cipriani tradition, the barmen prepare classics such as the Tom Collins and the Rob Roy, as well as long drinks and cocktails on request.
The link with Giuseppe Cipriani continues at the table: the restaurant still serves historic dishes such as beef carpaccio, risotto primavera, creamed salt cod and pilaf rice with curried scampi. At the American Bar, however, that continuity is seen before it is tasted, in the furnishings left exactly where they were.
A Bellini before dinner is perhaps the most direct way to meet the part of Villa Cipriani closest to 1962.
